We are taking a summer break in the months of July and August.

VBS – Maker Fun Factory – Successful!

Thank you to all who donated supplies and snack food, who volunteered, along with your prayers have made two weeks of VBS successful. Over 360 children and 200 volunteers know that God built them for a purpose.

LWML Mite Box – June 25th

LWML will have the mite box out next Sunday, June 25th.

BUNCO – June 27th

Come fellowship and have FUN on Tuesday, June 27th at 11:30am with brown bag lunch, games start at noon in the Fellowship Hall. Prizes awarded for most BUNCO, most wins, most losses, and whatever with bagged white elephant items provided by the players.

Shepherd’s Hope, in partnership with Nemours Children’s Health System, is pleased to offer free Back to School Physicals for children up to 18 years of age, who are uninsured and have no other options. Christian Illusionist – June 30th

FAKING THE SUPERNATURAL TO POINT TO THE REAL SUPERNATURAL Thrivent Financial and Holy Cross have partnered to bring you this exciting event on June 30th 6:30pm held at Holy Cross Lake Mary. Tickets are $7.00 Adults and $3.50 Students under 18. –John Michael Hinton’s unique style of close-up magic for the stage uses everyday objects to accomplish impossible feats. Collecting Items – Sharing Center

In June, we will be collecting cereals of various sized boxes.

Metals for Missions

We are collecting donations of aluminum cans and assorted other metals to fund our youth mission trip to N. Carolina and other various Holy Cross missions. Please place metals in the lil’ red pickup truck on Sundays or blue receptacle in the Fellowship Hall. Contact: Warren Jennison.

Summer Drama Camp

Holy Cross Lutheran Church and HCLA are pleased to be working with Summer Drama Camp for programs this summer. Two opportunities are available for children ages 7 – 15. Space is limited. For more information or to register, go to www.summerdramacamp.org.

Middle School Adventure Days

Holy Cross have Middle School Adventure Days for rising 6th thru rising 8th graders. There are 2 full-day adventures Wednesdays, June 28th (River Day) and July 12th (Beach Day). Register at thehcla.org/camps.

Holy Cross Lutheran Academy – Job Opening

Holy Cross Lutheran Academy is looking for an energetic, friendly, service-oriented individual to help grow our school ministry.  This part-time and/or full-time position will include administrative work as well as community outreach at events.  Candidates must be organized, self-motivated and efficient with word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software. Position requires flexible schedule to include evening and weekend events in addition to hours during the school day.  Please submit resume to Betty Hoyer at bhoyer@thehcla.org.

Sports Fest by Seminole Leagues

Come learn Multiple Sports from Professionals, D1 College Athletes and Elite High School Stars at this FREE EVENT for kids ages 5-15 on Saturday, July 15th. Rotations begin at 9am, 10am and 11am at HCLA 100 Aero Lane in Sanford, FL. Learn techniques in Baseball, Soccer, Football, Basketball and more. Jessie Howe (Karen von Lersner’s cousin’s 21-yr-old daughter) she had a brain tumor removed last month. We are so thankful that she has made progress with her right arm mobility & her speech.  She is working on regaining her writing and drawing skills. Prayers that these skills will return & for a benign outcome from the tumor pathology

Amelia Stark She is heading to Thailand on June 25th.   She will be attending Thrive Justice School (thejusticeschool.com) for 5 weeks learning about how to fight human trafficking.  She will learn about prevention, rescue and restoration.  The congregation’s support has been amazing! Your prayers for her safety while traveling and His comfort while she sees the unbelievable are appreciated.
