Current Sermon Series
It’s hot outside right now, but how is your faith? Are you in the doldrums, or are you on fire for Christ? Current sermon series – Closer: Being Passionate Disciples. Find out how you can draw closer to Jesus and become a more passionate follower of Him!
E3 – Encounter, Engage, Embody – Next Series
This six week sermon series, is an in depth look into how we encounter, engage with, and ultimately begin to embody Christ and His Church. It will cover the foundational biblical truths we all live by, how we at Holy Cross Lake Mary live out those truths in our community and how you can apply your passion as a disciple to make a difference in your own life and the lives of those around you. Then, join us on Tuesday nights from 6:30-8:00 pm when we will dig deeper into each week’s topic and get to learn about some “behind the scenes” church stuff you’ve always wanted to know. The Tuesday Night Class during these six weeks will also count as our new member class for this quarter. So get ready for six weeks to change your life!
LWML Mite Boxes Benefit Many
We want each of you to know that the money you put in your Mite Box is much more than dimes and dollars. It’s hope, healing, love, and Jesus’ mercy, and it reaches around the world. Bishop Emmanuel Makala from Tanzania passionately thanked LWML for the $25,000 Tanzanian Sewing Center grant. You are our Lord’s hands, feet, and heart as you share His love.

Confirmation Program – August 28th
Parents, we invite your 7th & 8th grade students to join us for our 2019-2020 confirmation class! Our confirmation program is a small group based, interactive experience that gives students the opportunity to explore and confirm their faith in Jesus Christ. We meet weekly on Wednesday nights 6:30pm-8:00pm through the school year (with holiday breaks). This year begins on Wednesday, Aug 28th.
Confirmation is a two-year experience in which students will learn about their faith, become familiar with the Bible, with prayer and will develop a personal testimony. This upcoming year is called “The Foundation”. We’ll be working our way through Luther’s small catechism, which covers the Lord’s Prayer, the Ten Commandments, the Apostles Creed and the Sacraments. In addition to the weekly meetings there are three retreats spaced throughout the year. There is an annual supply/retreat fee of $100. Contact Daniel Robison at daniel@hclm.org. Register online at hclm.org/confirmation.
