First Sunday After Christmas
Exodus 13:1-3a, 11-15, Colossians 3:12-17, Luke 2:22-40
Upcoming Sermon Series
We have some great, Christ-centered, grace-filled and relevant sermon series planned for this coming New Year! We kick it off in January with “Made New”, where we look at our newness in Christ through the book of Ephesians. Then look forward to rest of the year as we focus on the story of Christ during Lent, and talk about things like Creation Care, God’s Grace, and the most interesting and down to earth book in the Old Testament, Ecclesiastes. Join us as we Live, Love and Learn together in Christ!

If you are age 70½ or older, consider making a donation from your IRA using a qualified charitable distribution, which is not taxable and could satisfy some or all of your annual required minimum distribution. It’s important to note that if you make a qualified charitable distribution from your IRA, the custodian of your account may not identify it on your 1099-R form. It is your responsibility to inform your tax preparer of the transaction in order to secure the tax benefits. To discuss gift planning options, contact Dennis McGavock at the church office.
When planning for this year’s end of year giving, keep in mind the new tax law changes. Some people are including their 2019 giving in 2018 in order to get past the tax deduction limits. Whatever your strategy for giving is, make sure you follow through before the end of the year.
