Casey Family Gathering
William Casey, husband of HCLA teacher and long time Holy Cross member Lisa Casey, passed away on January 25th. Scout Sunday Pancake Breakfast – February 3rd
Boy Scouts will be making their pancakes on February 3rd after each morning services in the Community Center.
Scouting Open House – February 5th
This Tuesday, February 5th at 7:30pm, our Boy Scouts Troop 854 is hosting an Open House for our new Troop 529 for girls; age 11-17 (5th-12th grade). HCLA Enrollment – February 4th
Holy Cross Lutheran Academy begins open enrollment for the 2019-2020 school year on Monday, February 4th. HCLA, a leader in Christian education in the community, offers preschool here at our church campus and our Sanford location. Annual CancerBank Poker Tournament – March 2nd
The 8th Annual CancerBank Poker Tournament is quickly approaching. Player registration is open at CancerBank.org and we are currently accepting event sponsors and donations for the silent auction. Family Serve: Parking Help at Heathrow Arts Festival – March 3rd
We will be working with HCLA again this year to assist the Lake Mary ~ Heathrow Arts Festival with parking on March 3rd (9:30-3:30). Shifts will be 2 hours long and those age 11 and up can easily help. Visit our Facebook Page event to lock in your time slot.
6th Annual Hymn Festival – March 2nd
Lutheran Church of the Redeemer is sponsoring the 6th Annual Hymn Festival “Fruits of the Spirit” featuring Composer and Organist, David Ludwig on Saturday, March 2nd at 4:00pm (2525 S. Oak Ave. Sanford). Come sing along and be entertained by extraordinary music and hymns including old familiar tunes along with new compositions. Festival is free and open to the public.

Dream Builders – February 22nd
Holy Cross Lake Mary’s Dream Builders team is raising money to help build a home with Habitat for Humanity’s Women’s Build 2019. Join us for a Ladies night of Bunco to raise funds for our build days. Friday, February 22nd – in the Community Center NO BUNCO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED! Doors open at 6:30pm and the dice roll at 7:00pm.
Tickets are $20. There will be food, drinks, prizes, a raffle, and 50/50 drawing with all proceeds going directly to the build. Family Serve: Road Clean Up – February 23rd
Join us for a fun morning with your family while we make a noticeable impact on our community. We will be cleaning up trash along Longwood Lake Mary Road. All ages are welcome. We are meeting at Star Child Academy on Longwood/Lake Mary Road to clean up our adopted road.
Crawfish Boil – Mark Your Calendars!

The Sharing Center Food Pantry
Today we will be “kicking off” our Food Drive for the month. Thanks to all who donated Soups and Stews! This month we are collecting Macaroni & Cheese and Tuna as well as other canned meats. These easy fix foods are a great help to hungry families and individuals, many are on sale and available in bulk at the warehouse stores. Thanks for helping us help those in need here in our community.
