Auction Items Needed
This year, we will be taking about 50 people on the High School Mission Trip to North Carolina. In order to do that we need to raise some money to offset the cost of the charter bus ($5,000) and the price of the trip for the students. Every year, we hold a crawfish boil as our one fundraiser to help with these costs. We are in serious need of new items for the silent auction. Do you own a business? Or are you part of a company that could help? Please contact Youth Director Daniel Robison at email@example.com or feel free to drop your tax deductible item off at the church. Thanks for supporting our outreach mission and our youth!

Ladies Bible Study
This months Ladies Bible study (LWML) will be April 26th. The meeting will start at 6:30 with business and the Bible study should start at 7pm. “The Secret of the Feasts, Part 2, should be very interesting. If you missed last month’s Part 1… No problem…you can still learn much about the celebrations that our Lord Jesus observed. There are rumors of a yummy Jewish dessert that might be served as well. Hope to see you there! Any questions contact Sharon Shyrock at email@example.com.
Big Little Lies, by Liane Moriarty, is full of women with ethical and emotional issues, men with possibly criminal ones, and contentious goings-on at an elementary school. Had Agatha Christie written it, it might have been called “The Kindergarten Murder.” Want to know more? Join the discussion on Monday April 25th, 7PM in room 203.
Are you my type?
Bloodmobile will be here May 8th, 8AM to 1PM. Sign up sheet in the office.

Hello, Beauty Full
Women struggle under the on going weight of “not-enoughness.” Not attractive enough. Not smart enough. Not fit enough. Not creative enough. And therefore, not beautiful. In our eyes, we are unlovable and unusable. But in Scripture, God is clear that he sees us the way we already are in Christ: deeply loved and abundantly influential. Hello, Beauty Full explodes the shame-based mythology of our “not-enoughness,” empowering women to see ourselves as beautiful creations designed by God. We will meet every Mon. for 8 weeks, starting May 2nd from 10 am-11:30 in the Fellowship Hall. Each participant can purchase the study book for a cost of $12-$15.
Hands Around the World
Come enjoy Christian fellowship, devotionals, music and goodies at the Women’s Fellowship Tea Party on May 7th, 1-3PM. Faith Lutheran Church, Eustis, will be hosting. RSVP by April 29th to Ruth Heichelbeck 352-735-6655 email@example.com.
Gear Up for an Adventure
Holy Cross will be transforming into Cave Quest for VBS this year. Kids will spend each day spelunking through activity stations with their cave crews. We still have openings for 4 year olds through first grade for Week one, June 6-10. Week two, June 13-17, has openings in both age groups. Volunteers are needed, if you are an upcoming 6th grader and up you qualify. Teens think Bright Futures community service hours. To register campers and volunteers go to hclm.org/vbs.
Summer Camps and Programming!
Holy Cross offers so many summer activities… for kids of all ages, we would have to expand the newsletter into a magazine to give you all the detail! From VBS to Educational Camps to Soccer, Volleyball and Basketball. Whatever age or interest, we have programming that will engage, challenge and entertain your kids all summer long! For more information go to hclm.org.
