Join the Pastors and L-Team Captains for lunch on September 11th at Noon

Over 150 families responded to our Summer survey. We have gone over the results and would like to have an open forum to discuss those results over lunch on September 11th at Noon in the Fellowship Hall. We continue to search for a new Worship Leader for the contemporary services, but that is not the only change taking place.  Pastor Chris is finished with school and turning his attention to L-Teams (We have around 15-20 new teams in development for Fall).  The Staff is teaming up with some members of the Congregation to help develop a continuing vision for Holy Cross that will help carry us into the future.  Join us to see what we’ve been doing and where we hope to go with God’s blessing.

Who will ever forget September 11, 2001?

The City of Lake Mary will be hosting a Memorial Service at 6:30PM on Sept 11th. They are considering the possibility of having a citywide choir for the event, if you would like to participate in this service please contact Deputy Fire Chief Joe Landreville at jlandreville@lakemaryfl.com.

Pastor Paul and Pastor Chris Sunday Bible Study starts September 11th

One of the common themes that we heard during the last survey was a desire from you to have more accessible Pastor-led Bible studies. Starting on Sunday, September 11th (and continuing for 8 weeks) at 9:30am Pastors Paul and Chris will be leading a Bible study on the Book of Acts. We would love to see students attend Sunday School and parents attend this Bible Study and worship together at 11:00am!

Red Hat Ladies

The ribs are amazing fall off the bone,  love the new patio with the fire pit. The new look is amazing. Service is fantastic. The Divine Dollies will be visiting Smokey Bones in Sanford on Sept 6th at 11:30. Call Dee Good 407-772-0973 to make a reservation.

Medical Mission Trip

This month LWML will be collecting light-weight fusible interfacing  and velcro to make hospital gowns for the Lutheran Hospital in Madagascar. A mission service committee member and 20 medical professionals will be going in October bringing the gowns with them.

Please Help Spread the Word!

We are looking for a Worship Leader for our two contemporary services that can help us to grow and reach our goals for the future.  It is a part time position.  However, if the right person also has communications and IT/Website skills there is a possibility of the position being full time.  Please contact Pastor Matt at mwallis@hclm.org if you or someone you know is interested and for more details.

Young Investors Club

As we head back to school, the Lutheran Church Extension Fund Young Investors club provides a head start in savings for kids. It is also a great resource for teaching good stewardship. You may have missed out on the Olympic Team

But it is not too late to register with the Holy Cross Athletic Ministry, Seminole Leagues.  We provide a community youth sports program (Upward) for kids PreK4 through 5th grade in Soccer, Flag Football, Cheer and Basketball. For questions, email Matt Martin (matt@hclm.org).
