Lenten Soup & Sandwich Suppers
Our annual soup suppers will be hosted again this year during the season of Lent. The LWML ladies will provide the soup. You are asked to bring sandwiches to share. We will continue to host the soup suppers on Wednesday evenings at 6pm with devotions/Bible Studies beginning at 7pm (the last Wednesday will be 3/16/16). All are welcome to come.
Summer Mission Trip July 17-23, 2016
Every summer, youth high school students at Holy Cross travel up to the mountains of North Carolina to partner with a home repair mission organization called ReCreation Experiences. Students will engage in a multitude of jobs, from painting to roofing, minor construction to house cleaning. We do this for individuals who, for either financial or physical limitations (many times both), cannot have this work done themselves. It’s an awesome opportunity to serve with the love of Christ and also to grow closer with each other. Registration is $50. Contact Daniel Robison @ firstname.lastname@example.org for the registration form and any other questions.

Represent fellowship AND FUN at Holy Cross with lots of laughter and socializing while playing BUNCO! Come see for yourself on Tuesday, February 23rd [11:30 a.m./brown bag lunch; noon/game starts] in the Fellowship Hall. Prizes awarded for first BUNCO, most BUNCOs, most wins, most losses, and whatever are in the form of bagged white elephant items provided by the players. Since it takes all of 5 seconds to learn the “rules,” prior experience obviously is not required!
Small, peaceful and loving communities are about as disarming an environment as one could hope to find; after all, how could anyone have trouble in paradise? Well, young couple Sarah & Johnny McDonald find out after they move to a quiet town in Washington state. Barely having time to settle into their new lives a tragedy befalls them and their neighbors. As facts surface Sarah’s doubts about her neighbors begin to grow and soon she wonders if she can trust anyone. Do we really know those around us? Good question and one I hope we can answer at our meeting on Mon, Feb 22nd, at 7:00 pm. Hope to see you all there.
Women’s Bible study
This month there will not be a Bible Study meeting on the 4th Tuesday as we will have the Bible studies with the Lenten Soup Suppers each week. Our next Women’s Bible Study will be on March 22nd. We will be studying the festivals that our Lord Jesus celebrated. We will take a look at “Passover” and other festivals. I’ve heard rumors of “matzo ball soup” in our future. Looking forward to many of you joining us and sharing in Bible study. Sponsored by LWML.
