Soup, Sandwiches and Bible Study
These three words sum up Wednesday evenings during Lent, 6:00PM in the Fellowship Hall. LWML makes the soup and they are currently looking for volunteers to help them. If you would like to participate contact Shari Danford at 941-545-5046 or firstname.lastname@example.org. You are requested to bring sandwiches to share.

The Husband’s Secret
Cecilia finds a letter that her husband wrote and wanted her to read in the event that he died. Although he is still alive, Cecilia is tempted to sink her teeth into it anyway, unaware of the possible consequences his words could have for their lives. Join the Book Club ladies on Feb 27th for a lively discussion of this book by Liane Moriarty.
Put on Your Shoes and Tie up the Laces
Our healthy hikers are heading to Blue Springs on Mar 4th at 8:30AM. Join them for a 2-3 mile hike. Contact Pastor Paul for more info.
Represent fellowship AND FUN at Holy Cross with lots of laughter & socializing while playing BUNCO! Come see for yourself on Tuesday, Feb 28th [11:30 a.m./brown bag lunch; noon/game starts] in the Fellowship Hall. Prizes awarded for first BUNCO, most BUNCOs, most wins, most losses, and whatever are in the form of bagged white elephant items provided by the players. Since it takes all of 5 seconds to learn the “rules,” prior experience obviously is not required!
Ladies Bible Study
Ladies Bible study (LWML) will meet Feb 28th in the Fellowship Hall. Bible Study starts at 6:30pm and the business meeting will begin about 7:30 for those who wish to stay. Hope to see you there! Any questions contact Sharon Shyrock at email@example.com.
Prayer and Healing Service
Here at Holy Cross, we believe that Jesus is alive and well among us through his Holy Spirit, and that a part of his continuing ministry is healing the sick and afflicted. We believe in a supernatural God who still does supernatural things every day. That’s why we’re having a healing service on Saturday, March 4th at 5:00 pm in the sanctuary. We’re coming together as a congregation to expect and pray for the healing power of Jesus to be present among us. Come join us!
Calling All Musicians!!
The Upper School is growing the band and we need your help! Do you have a dusty clarinet in the attic, a set of drums in the garage, or a trumpet laying under the bed? Very often students would like to join the band and learn to play, but parents want to be sure they are truly interested before making that financial commitment. Upper School would benefit greatly from a collection of instruments for classroom use during this process. If you have an instrument that you would like to donate, please feel free to drop it off at the Upper School or the church office.
Collecting Items Now
LWML’s rummage/garage sale is Mar 4th, 8a to 3p in the Fellowship Hall. No TVs; all other salable, clean items are welcome. “Rent-a-table” for those who want to sell their own rummage/crafts: $10 per 6 foot table. Text Valerie Schulz 407-463-0831 to reserve a table. Come to buy and bring your friends! Proceeds from sale are benefiting LWML mites, also supporting two members of Holy Cross to attend the national convention.
In March we are collecting pasta (any shape or size), parmesan cheese, canned (please no glass) pasta sauce and canned pasta products like Spaghetti O’s and Ravioli. There are lots of BOGO offers on these items that are needed for the Food Pantry at the Sharing Center. Drop your contributions off in the Narthex, your contributions continue to bless those in need in our community”
