Last Middle School Adventure Day – July 12th!
We saved the best for last… Let’s go to the BEACH! This beach adventure is open to kids entering 6th through 8th grades. And we aren’t just sitting around and sunbathing, join us for a day of sandcastle contests, cookouts, boogie boarding, ultimate Frisbee, and other beach fun! The bus leaves Holy Cross at 9am and will return around 4, we will have dinner and devotional at church before pick-up at 6pm. We’re Collecting School Supplies
School’s out for summer but soon children in our community will be starting back to school and many will need help gathering together the necessary supplies. Throughout the month of July we will be collecting school supplies to donate to local children. Please pick up a list in the narthex and do some fun back to school shopping for these students. Seminole County Immediate Needs Program
The Seminole County Immediate Needs Program is designed to provide funds in the form of a grant to qualified applicants with necessary immediate repairs and/or alterations to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the household or to affect the immediate livability of the home. The five trades in which assistance can be provided are roofing, electrical, plumbing, HVAC (heating and cooling systems), and accessibility. Shepherd’s Hope – Back to School Physicals
Shepherd’s Hope, in partnership with Nemours Children’s Health System, is pleased to offer free Back to School Physicals for children up to 18 years of age, who are uninsured and have no other options. Appointments are required (407-876-6699 x243) and available on July 31, August 3 & 9 from 9am-noon, located at 600 N US 17-92 #124 Longwood, FL.
Metals for Missions
We are collecting donations of aluminum cans and assorted other metals to fund our youth mission trip to N. Carolina and other various Holy Cross missions. Please place metals in blue receptacle in the Fellowship Hall.

Jessie Howe (Karen von Lersner’s cousin’s 21-yr-old daughter) she had a brain tumor removed last month. She will need radiation and chemotherapy treatments as her pathology report showed stage 3 tumor.
We pray today for our nation and our world. We ask that God would be with all of our leaders and elected officials; we pray that He would bring peace to the world, an end to violence and especially watch over Christians that are facing persecution.
