Veteran Recognition
Preschool is inviting all veterans to their chapel on November 9th at 9:30 am. They will say the pledge, sing God Bless America and recognize them with a special ribbon.

First Sunday Cookout Sunday
We will be firing up the grill to cook hot dogs and hamburgers for after the 11AM service. Our grill masters need help with the preparation of this event. Please contact Helen Burns 407-302-4316 if you are able to help.
Pastor Poker
Monday, Nov 7th, at Pastor Paul’s house, 7PM. The game is Texas Hold Em, $5 buy in and winner picks non-profit organization to which they will donate the money.
Men’s Basketball

Second Tuesday Lunch Bunch
This is great place for a quick lunch, the food is always good and their lunch menu has lots of options and reasonable prices. Our lunch bunch will be dining at Bahama Breeeze located at 499 E Altamonte Dr, Altamonte Springs, 32701, at 11:30AM on Nov 8th. To make reservations call Joanne Hench at

Women’s Bible Study
Just wanted to let you know of the change for November’s LWML meeting date. Due to the 4th Tuesday falling during Thanksgiving week, we have decided to meet the previous Tuesday, November 15th at 6:30PM. We will meet in the board room/conference room in the office as there is another function going on in the Fellowship Hall.
Christmas Tea
Second Annual Christmas Tea, hosted by LWML, will be held on December 13th from 6 to 8 pm. Light refreshments will be served. Please bring a wrapped small Christmas ornament or votive for the gift exchange and a $5.00 donation to defray the costs of the food. Any additional monies collected will go to mites. Looking forward to sharing this time with many of you.

Sharing Center will be here this Monday at noon to pick up our Thanksgiving basket donations. Here are our totals so far:
Instant Potatoes: 57/200; Gravy: 95/200; Cranberries: 53/200; Stuffing: 90/200; Yams: 45/200; Veggies 146/200; Chicken Broth 49/200; Pumpkin Pie Mix 17/200; Jiffy muffin mix 21/200; Cake mix 20/200; Graham cracker crusts 25/200; Jello/pudding 87/200. Each family receives a Publix gift card valued at $15 to purchase a Turkey or Ham, your monetary donations will help us purchase these gift cards. No time to shop? Your $40 donation will pay for 1 family’s Thanksgiving dinner.
Christmas trees, lights, wreaths
We must be talking about decorating the Sanctuary and Fellowship Hall for Christmas. Church Decorating will be held on December 3rd, usually start at 9:00 am. Many hands make light work. Please look for further updates as to times and needs.
Senior Intervention Group
Holy Cross has been invited to participate in the Senior Intervention Group’s Christmas Gathering by providing desserts. Please call the office (407-333-0797) if you are interested. SIG will pickup the desserts on December 14th.

Alexis Villegas (Will Zacharias’ friend) fell off roof while preparing for the hurricane, broke his skull and several other bones, is comatose; prayers that his body heals, that he wakes up fully aware and damage free
Carlee (Amy Stier’s niece) suffered a heart attack is responding somewhat; prayers for discernment for the doctors and patience & faith for her parents
Deloris Myers having surgery to alleviate severe nerve pain; prayers for successful surgery and complete recovery
