Learn More about Plant & Build
Please join us for an informal, but important, conversation regarding Plant & Build and explore your role in His plan for Holy Cross. The following events are scheduled to take place over the next month to help each of us better understand the goals and roles we can play in growing His Kingdom.
• Sunday, October 4th, at Noon, Cookout with Inform Event in the Fellowship Hall
We Need Candy (Individually wrapped… LOTS)
Join us for Lake Mary’s biggest and best Trunk ‘R Treat, Oct 24th at 5pm, right here in the Holy Cross Parking Lot! We are bringing back the inflatable bounce house, inflatable obstacle course and a dunk tank. We will have hot dogs to roast over the open fire pit and LOTS OF CANDY! So whether you are a little kid or a kid at heart, there is something for everyone. Kids can visit dozens of trunks in costume and safely collect candy. To register your trunk or volunteer, go to trunkRtreat.org.
Red Hat Ladies
The draw is ALWAYS the salad bar. LOVE IT! Very fresh with cool stuff like beets, edamame beans, chick peas, and real lettuce. A nice touch was the higher quality lemonade on the menu. The garlic biscuits were very tasty. Our ladies are traveling to Ruby Tuesday’s located on Saxon Blvd in Orange City on October 6th. To get there take I-4 to exit 111B towards Orange City, merge onto Saxon Blvd. Ruby Tuesday’s address is 1212 Saxon Blvd. Contact Grace Friedrich 386-574-8144 or Doris Underwood 386-789-4280 to make reservations.
Second Tuesday Lunch Bunch
Consistently good food and service, the tortilla soup is wonderful. Add to that the yummy bread and good service, and you can’t go wrong,… Our Lunch Bunch is dining at Outback Steakhouse in Sanford on Oct 13th at 11:30AM. To make reservations please call Maxine Rzepka 407-323-7362 or Arlene Worden 407-321-3739.
Calling All Men!
Join Pastor Chris on October 15 at 7pm for the first Real Men of Jesus L-team in the Fellowship Hall. We will have barbecue from 4 Rivers and a cornhole tournament. But more importantly, we will get together to hare experiences and have a great time. Questions? Contact Pastor

In the Beginning…
Join us for an historical, geographical, and Biblical journey through the Old Testament beginning in Genesis. We meet Sunday mornings starting today at 9:30AM in the church office conference room.
The Lutheran Women in Mission (LWML)
invite you to join them for Brunch on October 11th to celebrate LWML Sunday. Donations will go towards “Mites” which are funds donated for mission grants. One of our local organizations, Redeeming Life Maternity Home, is a beneficiary of “mites” donated to help continue the work of Jesus. We are His Hands and His feet…called to serve Him in the mission field where we are.
Can You Help?
Holy Cross Lutheran is sponsoring the next Lutheran Women in Mission Rally to be held on November 7th. The luncheon will include potluck salads. Can you volunteer to bring a salad or a brunch item for the morning during registration? Please see sign up sheet in the fellowship hall during the LWML Brunch to sign up or email Sharon Shyrock @ firstname.lastname@example.org to volunteer to bring items or help serve during the rally. We’d LOVE to have many of you share in the worship of that day and join in “Singing Praises” to our Lord.
Please Donate Soap
Used or new bars of soap will be collected and donated to the Clean the World Organization sponsored by LWML Please look for a donation box in the narthex to put your donated soaps (NO liquid soaps please).
