“One Blood” will have their bloodmobile on Sunday, September 10th parked in the front from 8:00am -1:00pm. Sign-up sheet in the Narthex.

Healing Service – September 23rd

Here at Holy Cross, we believe that Jesus is alive and well among us through his Holy Spirit, and that a part of his continuing ministry is healing the sick and afflicted. We believe in a supernatural God who still does supernatural things every day. That’s why we’re having a healing service on Saturday, September 23rd at 5pm in the sanctuary. We’re coming together as a congregation to expect and pray for the healing power of Jesus to be present among us. Come join us!

Heart to Heart

Do you ever find yourself frustrated when you’re trying to communicate with your spouse?  Heart to Heart will help you rediscover the similarities and differences between you and your spouse.  Cost is $69 per person. Middle School Youth Group – September 6th

MS youth group will knock your socks off this month with an extended MS experience that you don’t want to miss. Join us Wednesday, Sept. 6th from 4-7p as we will be bringing in Ties That Bind for 2 hours of team building, confidence building, and leader making experiences. Dinner and all events are included in the $10 fee for this month. Please RSVP via the Holy Cross Student Ministry FB page or email Lara at ljackson@hclm.org.

Confirmation 2017-2018 – September 13th

We invite your 7th grade student to join us for our 2017-2018 Confirmation class, beginning Wednesday, September 13. We meet weekly on Wednesday nights 6:30-8:00 through the school year (with a break from Thanksgiving through December). This year is the first part of a two-year experience in which students will learn about their faith. There is a one-time registration fee of $125. Online registration is available at hclm.org/confirmation. Prayer Teams Meeting – September 10th

Hurricane Harvey Relief

We are collecting donations to support the Texas District of LCMS as they struggle with the needs following the devastation that hit their community. Funds will go 100% to meet the needs of the community. Visit hclm.org/disaster-response to find out more.

Reformation 500 for 500

As we approach the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation, we are planning on committing 500 hours of service during the month of October. Visit hclm.org/reformation500 to see the service opportunities and volunteer. Save the date of Oct 29th for a Reformation Celebration.

Bus Driver Needed

Holy Cross Lutheran Academy is looking for an additional Bus Driver.  Eligible candidates need to have a CDL, Class B with passengers license.  Driving is on an as needed basis for field trips, sporting events, and after school activities.  Interested persons contact Mrs. Hoyer or Mr. Sinninger for more information by calling the school office at 407.936.3636.

Are You Ready For High School

Have you started looking ahead to high school for your middle schooler?  We invite parents of 7th and 8th graders to get a preview of what Holy Cross Lutheran Academy’s High School has to offer.  Mrs. Geiss, Upper School Principal, will offer 2 information sessions on Tuesday, September 12th –one at 6:00pm and one at 6:45pm.  Choose the time that works best for you.  Classrooms will be open for tours between 6:00 and 7:00pm.  Please stop by to see the great things happening in our classrooms after the 6:00pm session or prior to the 6:45pm session.  If you you have questions, please email Sue Stark at sstark@thehcla.org or call 407-936-3636 #3.
