“Noah” Bible Study
Pastor Paul will be leading a Bible Study entitled Noah – The Man, The Ark, The Flood Sunday mornings at 9:30am in the Community Center. Light refreshments will be served.
“The Story” Resumes January 16th
We are embarking on a journey of reading through God’s Word in the Book “The Story”. The Bible Study will resume on Tuesday, January 16th in the Community Center.
Chili Cook-Off – January 28th
At noon in the Community Center it’s going to get a little spicy! Register your chili or to volunteer at hclm.org/chili.
Installation of Pastor Adam – January 28th
Pastor Adam Barcott will be installed as a LCMS Pastor on Sunday, January 28th at Holy Cross Worship Center at 2:00pm.
Holy Cross 101 – January 18th
Have you been coming to Holy Cross for a while and are ready for a next step? Do you have questions about what we do and believe? Then join us for our next Holy Cross 101! HC101 is a new member class where we learn about who we are as a church, what we do and what we believe. It is a one night class that meets from 6-9pm. There is no obligation if you attend, however if you are ready to take the next step of membership at Holy Cross, this class is for you. Family Movie Night – January 27th
Join us for a family “drive in” movie night featuring Lego Batman on our giant outdoor movie screen on Saturday, January 27th at 5:00pm-8:00pm. Free hot dogs and popcorn will be available, as well as crafts fun for all ages. Kids are encouraged to bring a cardboard box “car” for watching the movie and will get preferred “parking” right up front during the movie. Please bring your own blankets and chairs for this action packed night. Movie starts at 6:00pm. Email Lara Jackson at ljackson@hclm.org with any questions.

Women Build – Habitat for Humanity
Calling all Women Builders! HCLM is forming a team of women to join with over 150 local women and help build a house that will become a home for a local family. If you’re interested in getting involved, contact Betty Hoyer at bhoyer@thehcla.org or leave a message at 407.619.0528. Build time runs from mid April to mid May. All skill levels are welcome.

Help Feed the Homeless
This month we will be collecting items to make a complete meal for the homeless. The Sharing Center has requested that we collect a pop-top 1 lb canned ham, pop-top cans of veggies, pop-top can baked beans, single serve fruit cup, packages of instant potatoes, packets of instant coffee and beef jerky. Thank you in advance for your donations.
Concordia Seminary – January 15th
Rev. Scott Holder, an Admissions and Recruitment officer at Concordia Seminary, will be at Ascension Lutheran Church on Monday, January 15, from 6:00-8:00PM. God is Great – So Let’s Celebrate Together!
On January 26, we will gather at Holy Cross Lake Mary to celebrate the blessings God has bestowed upon us as a school family and as a community. Bring your family and friends to enjoy a FREE concert performed by Jennie Williamson from AriSon Records at 6:30pm in the Worship Center. Chick-fil-A Lake Mary will be joining us for dinner beginning at 5PM. Scrumptious chicken sandwiches, nuggets and salads will be available for purchase. We would also like to serve our community and bless the women and children at SafeHouse Seminole with a warm blanket. Join us prior to the concert in the Children’s Center to make a fleece blanket. We look forward to seeing you and celebrating together!
Donations Needed
We have purchased enough fleece to make twenty blankets, if you would like to help us provide more blankets to SafeHouse Seminole, a $15 donation will cover the cost to make one blanket. All donations for blankets can be dropped off at the Holy Cross Church, Lake Mary Preschool, Lower School or Upper School offices by Friday January 19. If you write a check please make it payable to HCLA and write “blanket” on the memo line. If you have questions, please contact Lisa Turner at lturner@thehcla.org.

Ryan (age 13) was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal papillary adenocarcinoma in March. Cancer in his throat; It was surgically removed. There’s another growth in the same region. Pray for endurance, perseverance and for total health.
