Special Voters’ Meeting – February 14th
We are having a special voters’ meeting to be held at Holy Cross Lake Mary in the Community Center on February 14th at 6:30pm. The Call Committee and Board of Directors are recommending Ethan Spira, a 4-yr Seminary student, for our next Church Plant.
Ash Wednesday Service – February 14th
We will be having Soup, made by LWML, and sandwiches, which you will bring with you, at 6:00pm followed by Special Voters’ meeting in the Community Center, then Ash Wednesday Service at 7:00pm in the Worship Center. Service includes the imposition of ashes and communion.
Sunday Morning Bible Study
Sunday morning Bible Study will not be meeting today but will resume next Sunday, January 11th at 9:30am on “The Challenge of Islam”.
Blood Drive – February 4th
“One Blood” will have their bloodmobile on Sunday, February 4th parked in the front parking lot from 8:00am -1:00pm.
Scout Sunday Pancake Breakfast – February 4th
Boy Scouts will be making their pancakes on February 4th after each morning services in the Community Center.

94.9 FM – 950 AM “THE WORD” will broadcast one of OUR Pastor’s recent messages all over Central Florida TODAY at 2 pm on the “Church of the Week” program! There will also be a brief interview with Pastor Matt. This is a great outreach opportunity, so be sure to listen and make sure you tell everyone you know.
Soup, Sandwiches and Lenten Bible Study
Join Pastor Paul on Wednesday evenings during the Lenten Season on “How We Got The Bible” starting 6:00pm in the Community Center for soup and sandwiches. LWML makes the soup and you bring sandwiches to share. They are looking for volunteers to sign up for soup. If you would like to participate, contact Valerie Schulz at firstname.lastname@example.org. Early Communion Class for 4th-5th Graders
The class is for children, which in their parent’s estimation, are mature and ready to receive the Lord’s Supper. The class starts on February 21st at 6:30pm and runs each week on Wednesdays through March 28th. After completion of the 6-week class, the students are invited to partake in their first communion at the Maundy Thursday service, March 29th at 7:00pm. If you would like to have your child participate in the class, we ask that you do two things: Reserve your spot by registering online at hclm.org/communion and have at least one parent attend each of the six 1-hour sessions with your child. Kids Easter Experience – March 25th
Join us Palm Sunday starting at 9:00am for an Easter Experience like no other! Kids age 4 – grade 5 are invited to join us for 2 hours of walking through the Easter Story with hands on activities that are sure to get them excited about their faith! ALOA News – February 11th

Dream Builders, Holy Cross’ Women Build team, is hosting a BUNCO night, Friday March 9th at Holy Cross Lake Mary Community Center. All ladies are welcome to come ‘roll the dice’ for a great cause – building a house in Apopka for Vicki, single mom of 2. Knit for Kids Update
On completion of our “Knit for Kids” project, the Nifty Knitters have donated 32 blankets, 1 sweater, 4 hats, and 2 scarves for needy children worldwide. Thanks to all the ladies who helped.

Family Serve Road Clean Up – February 17th
Join us for a fun morning with your family while we make a noticeable impact on our community. We will be cleaning up trash along Longwood Lake Mary Rd. All ages are welcome. We meet at StarChild Academy on Longwood/Lake Mary Road at 8:00am and clean up our adopted road. If we get enough volunteers we can get this done pretty fast! Please bring a trash “grabber” (we have a few) and some gloves.
Family Serve Assisting With Parking – March 3rd
Holy Cross Lake Mary and Holy Cross Academy have teamed up with the Lake Mary Heathrow Arts Festival for a great Family Serve Opportunity. We will be assisting with parking on Saturday, March 3rd. It’s the perfect opportunity to serve for a few hours and then walk around to enjoy the arts with your family. This event is recommended for 7 and up. Help Feed the Homeless – The Sharing Center
This month we will be collecting items to make a complete meal for the homeless. We are collecting pop-top 1 lb canned ham, pop-top cans of veggies, pop-top can baked beans, single serve fruit cup, packages of instant potatoes, packets of instant coffee and beef jerky.
