Current Sermon Series
Our Current sermon series, Under the Sun. We will be taking a look at one of the most real and down to earth books of the Bible, Ecclesiastes. Written by Solomon it is full of wit and wisdom about this life we lead “under the sun.” It also helps us to understand how much life is better with the Son.

Pastor Matt’s Tuesday Bible Study – June 25th
June 25th will mark the return of our Tuesday night Bible class! This time we will be studying service, and how we deal with and help those in need both in our community and in the world. Based on the book, When Helping Hurts, this will be a 6 week pastor led Bible study with both video and workbook components. As usual lots of good discussion as we look at these issues from a biblical and societal perspective. Hope to see you there!

Collecting Cereal – Sharing Center
We will be collecting cereal for the month of June for the Sharing Center. Our VBS campers from ROAR will partner with us to collect as many boxes of cereal that we can. Summer is a difficult time for some families because the children no longer get free or discounted lunches and breakfasts. Cereal is great for either meal. Watch the tower grow!
Trivia for the day: Who remembers which cereal was shot from canons? In 1904, Quaker introduced the cereal to the mass public by shooting Puffed Rice from cannons at the World’s Fair.

Sharing Center Family Volunteer Night – June 14th
When your family volunteers together, you build deep bonds with each other and with your community! It doesn’t take a lot of time to make a big difference. Volunteering helps better the lives of others while also helping your family members develop new skills, empathy for others, and a passion for giving back. The Sharing Center is kicking off their newest volunteer program to help the community on June 14th from 5:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. A variety of age appropriate tasks will be offered the 2nd Friday of every month to families to help us meet our mission of preventing hunger and homelessness and offering families a way to give back and serve together. Children 5 years and older are welcome to serve with their parents or grandparents. Pizza and soft drinks will be served. To register email Patricia Shields at patricia.shields@thesharingcenter.org.
