Prayer Teams Gathering – March 17th
Prayer Teams Gathering is rescheduled for TODAY at 12:15pm in the Community Center. Team Leaders and members or anyone interested in being on a team are encouraged to join us.
Soup, Sandwiches and Lenten Bible Study
Come enjoy Wednesday evenings during the Lenten Season (March 13th thru April 10th) starting 6:00pm in the Community Center for soup and sandwiches. LWML makes the soup and you bring sandwiches to share. Bible Study on “8-Day Revolution” follows for about an hour.
Easter Experience Volunteers Needed
Easter is fast approaching. We are hosting the Easter Experience for children on Sunday, April 14th, volunteers are needed from 8:30am to 10:50am. Crawfish Boil – March 30th
Our High School 16th Annual Crawfish and Shrimp Boil fundraiser is right around the corner–make sure you’ve got your tickets! The Boil is Saturday, March 30th at Holy Cross Lake Mary Community Center at 6:30pm. Tickets are $25.00 per person and are available online at hclm.org/crawfish. We are also changing from silent auction to raffle this year, and the Sunday prior to the Boil, March 24th, our students will be out with a sampling of our raffle items in the courtyard. We will have raffle tickets available for purchase for those who either can’t make it to the Boil but still want to support high school missions, and for those who just want to get a head start! See you there!
Memorial Benefit for Gail’s Legacy Project
Gail Cleavenger always had a passion to help others that were in need. In particular, Gail had a calling to mission through the Pregnancy Center of Sanford, to help women with limited options and resources to get the support they need. There will be a Memorial Benefit for this project on Saturday, April 6th at 10:00am at Holy Cross Lake Mary Worship Center. RSVP by Friday, March 22nd at http://evite.me/a573HydJgG.
Wine Tasting Fundraiser – April 6th
The Dream Builder team will be hosting a fundraiser on April 6th from 6:00-8:00PM at Cork & Olive restaurant on Sun Drive to benefit the Women Build project with Habitat for Humanity. Please join us for two hours of wine, light appetizers and great conversation. There will also be a silent auction for those in attendance. Tickets are on sale now at www.dreambuilderswinetasting.eventbrite.com or from any team member. Individual tickets are $25. Two tickets are $40. We are so looking forward to seeing you there!
Doll House Fundraiser
Many women from our congregation have joined with others in the area to form the Dream Builders; one group working with the Women Build project of Habitat for Humanity Seminole County. The team will work with other local women to build two houses 80% by women for two single mothers – one in Casselberry and one in Apopka. The Doll House you see outside the church represents a home and the different amounts of money needed for things inside the home from refrigerators to light-bulbs. Please take a clothespin and make a donation matching the amount on the pin by writing a check to Habitat for Humanity or giving cash to one of our volunteers. Family Serve Grace and Grits – March 20th
Join us as we serve meals to those in Sanford that are in need. Families of all ages are available to come help. We will be cooking from 2:00pm –4pm at Holy Cross and serving 5:45pm at First United Methodist Church at 419 S Park Ave, Sanford. Any questions please email ljackson@hclm.org.
Seminole Leagues Soccer
Helping young athletes to grow in skills, character, and faith is the goal of Seminole Leagues, an Upward Sports Program. The faith-based developmental sports league currently offering Soccer in March Sign up is now available! LWML Greater Orlando Spring Rally – April 6th
The women of Prince of Peace welcome all ladies from the churches in the Greater Orlando Zone and all guests to the LWML Spring Rally for a day of fellowship, Bible study, and song on April 6th at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church (1515 South Semoran Blvd. Orlando, FL 32807). Easter Food Bags – “Five C’s”
Bake a delicious dessert with a cake mix that makes a moist, mouth-watering cake for any occasion. Cake mixes are the third “C” for the month of March. Our Easter Food Bags are filling up fast! There are 300 Families to receive Easter Food Bag.

JOY (just older youth) is a social group for 50+ adults. Our next meeting is on March 21st at 6:30pm. Bring a brown bag supper, then enjoy popcorn, sodas, and movie at Holy Cross Community Center. If you are interested in Food, Fun, Fellowship, just having fun, bring a friend and come join us.
