Easter Lilies

If you would like to have a lily placed on the altar in the memory of a loved one or in honor of a loved one or event, please fill out information on provided envelopes in the Narthex. Each lily is $7.00.

Soup, Sandwiches and Lenten Bible Study

Come enjoy Wednesday evenings during the Lenten Season (March 13th thru April 10th) starting 6:00pm in the Community Center for soup and sandwiches. LWML makes the soup and you bring sandwiches to share.

First Sunday of the Month Cook-out – April 7th

We will have the first Sunday of the month cookout after the 11:00am service on April 7th in the Courtyard. Come fellowship!

Retirement Lunch & Learn – April 7th

Holy Cross is hosting a Retirement Lunch & Learn with Thrivent financial on Sunday, April 7th at 12:30 in the Community Center at Holy Cross. Lunch will be provided. Get an idea about what it takes to ensure you will have enough for retirement. ALL AGES Welcome.

Easter Experience Volunteers Needed – April 14th

We are hosting the Easter Experience for children on Sunday, April 14th, volunteers are needed. Sign up with Lara Jackson at ljackson@hclm.org.

Book Swap

The HCLA Lake Mary campus will be hosting a book swap for all ages April 23-26th outside the church and again on Sunday, April 28th. If you have any gently used books that you want to go to a good home, please bring to the church. This is a free event to promote reading for all ages.

Holy Cross 201 – April 3rd

Are you coming to the Lutheran faith from another denomination? Even if you’ve been a member for a while, do you ever wonder why we have (or DON’T have) certain practices and traditions here at Holy Cross that aren’t common in other churches? Or maybe you’re already a long-standing Lutheran but you want to know what sets us apart from the different denominations of the Christian faith? Come join us every Wednesday starting April 3rd at 8:00pm in the Worship Center at Holy Cross 201! Everyone is invited to come discuss the basics of our faith.

Holy Cross 101 – April 4th

Hopper Academy – April 6th

On April 6th beginning at 8:30am, we will gather one more time at Hopper Academy to try and finish the last few things that are keeping the project from being finished. We will be painting the stair railings and window trim. If you are willing to give 4 more hours to this project, please let Pastor Hoyer know that you are available on Saturday the 6th, or another day if that one does not work for you at paul@hclm.org.

Memorial Benefit for Gail’s Legacy Project– April 6th

Gail Cleavenger always had a passion to help others that were in need.  In particular, Gail had a mission through the Pregnancy Center of Sanford. There will be a Memorial Benefit for this project on Saturday, April 6th at 10:00am at Holy Cross Lake Mary Worship Center.

Easter Food Bags – “Five C’s”

Hop on over to your favorite store! Easter candy is the best holiday candy. Candy is our fifth and final “C”. The Food Pantry asks for individually wrapped candy to put in the Food Bags and Easter Baskets. Distribution of the Food bags will be April 9th so please have your donations to the church before that date. Thank you to everyone who participated in gathering items for Easter.

LWML Greater Orlando Spring Rally – April 6th

The LWML Spring Rally invites you for a day of fellowship, Bible study, and song on April 6th at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.

VBS Volunteers Needed

We are thinking VBS already! Adult volunteers are needed to help with stations and leading the little kids around during the day. To register to volunteer please go to HCLM.org/VBS or if you have questions, email Lara Jackson at ljackson@hclm.org.

Wine Tasting Fundraiser – April 6th

The Dream Builder team will be hosting a fundraiser on April 6th from 6:00-8:00PM at Cork & Olive restaurant on Sun Drive to benefit the Women Build project with Habitat for Humanity.  Tickets are on sale now at www.dreambuilderswinetasting.eventbrite.com. Individual tickets are $25.  Two tickets are $40.  We are so looking forward to seeing you there!

Doll House Fundraiser

Many women from our congregation have joined with others in the area to form the Dream Builders; one group working with the Women Build project of Habitat for Humanity Seminole County.  The Doll House you see represents a home and the different amounts of money needed.
