Current Sermon Series – Fear Factors

Sometimes it seems like our lives are governed by fear. We fear bad things happening. We fear death. We fear the unknown. The power that fear has over our lives is real, and yet it is something that God wants to set us free from! Come join us for our new series Fear Factors, as we explore these topics and more and see how Jesus brings us peace through it all.

Next Sermon Series

Christmas time, or what the ancient church has always called Advent, is a time when we celebrate and look forward to getting presents! This year we are going to focus on the greatest gift of all, the presence of Jesus Christ in our lives. Discover how his presence enables us to be present in the lives of others. Join us for Presence: How to show up like Jesus, beginning on November 17th.

E3 New Member and Information Class

Our next E3 class, for anyone wishing to become a member or seeking to learn more about who we are as a church, will be held on December 12th. The class runs from 6:00pm-9:00pm. We share a light meal together and spend some time getting to know one another, learning who we are as a church and what we believe, and discovering your gifts and how you can put them in a practice. Sign up with Pastor Matt at mwallis@hclm.org.

New Tuesday Night Bible Study

The next Tuesday night Bible study will begin on November 12th, at 6:30 to 8:00pm.  We will be reading through the book Flesh by Hugh Halter.  With refreshing, raw candor, Flesh reveals the faith we all long to experience—one based on the power of Christ in the daily grind of work, home, school, and life. For anyone burned out, disenchanted, or seeking a fresh honest-to-God encounter, Flesh will invigorate your faith.  Books will be available through the church for suggested donation of $10 soon.
