First Sunday of the Month Cook-out – December 3rd
We will NOT have cookout on November 5th but the next first Sunday of the month cook-out will be held on December 3rd in the Courtyard.
Kids Church Extended at 11:00 Service
Join Lisa Mangus – Director of Christian Ministry, after the praise & music upstairs in the Community Room for a Kids Service at 11:00am. Children will sit with their parents for music and prayer. Lisa will take them upstairs to the Community Room for the duration of the service.
Join us in “The Story” – November 7th
We are embarking on a journey of reading through God’s Word in the Book “The Story” together. “The Story” is a version of the NIV Bible arranged so that it can read straight through as a chronological narrative. It starts November 7th and will be held every Tuesday from 6:30pm to 8:00pm. By doing this we will be affirming the importance of God’s Word and growing in faith and knowledge together.
Veterans Day Service – November 8th
All former and current military personnel are invited to attend a special chapel service on Wednesday, November 8th at 9:30am. Please come to Holy Cross Lutheran Church Worship Center to recognize your service to our country. The children will do the Pledge of Allegiance and sing God Bless America. BUNCO – November 28th
Come fellowship and have FUN on Tuesday, November 28th at 11:30am with brown bag lunch, games start at noon in the Fellowship Hall. Prizes awarded with bagged white elephant items provided by the players.
Nifty Knitters
We have been knitting since March. This is a small group of eight ladies who have sent 22 blankets, hats, and scarves to Knit For Kids which is a program of World Vision. These items are given to children worldwide and will warm the body of a child in great need. Thank you, Knitters for your generous gifts in this effort to help children.

200 Thanksgiving Baskets for Sharing Center
Our goal this year is to provide Thanksgiving dinners to 200 families. To achieve this goal we need help from everyone in the congregation, pick up the orange Thanksgiving Basket list. Each family receives a Publix gift card valued at $15 to purchase a Turkey or Ham; your monetary donations will help us purchase these gift cards.
Hopper Academy Work Day – November 11th
We have a work day at Historic Hopper Academy located 1101 Pine Street Sanford on November 11th starting at 8:30am. We are planting over 200 plants and working on landscaping. Contact Pastor Hoyer or Pastor Wallis
Do You Enjoy Reading to Children?

Lutheran Church of the Redeemer (2525 S. Oak Ave Sanford) have their 4th Annual Fall Festival on Saturday, November 11th from11am-3pm.

Our Veterans watch over our veterans in recognition of their loyal service to the United States. Bless them with love, heal their wounds, grant them comfort and peace.
A Special Thanks to our pastors and all the others who made our Octoberfest such a success. We all had a great time! The food was a reminder of some that many of us remember that we had when we were much younger and the comradery strengthened our bond with each other. How thankful we are that we could celebrate and give thanks for our Lutheran heritage!
