New Sermon Series – Faith In Action
Join us for our new sermon series, Faith in Action. Each week we will be looking at ways we can live out our faith and how we are already working with our community partners to make a difference!
Revelation Bible Study
Join us as we delve into one of the most interesting and misunderstood books in all the New Testament: Revelation. Is the Rapture real? Will there be Judgment for Christians? Who is the Antichrist? Join us every Tuesday evenings from 6:30pm to 8:00pm. We will be using the book Concordia Popular Commentary: Revelation by Louis A. Brighton.

Holy Land Carvings – November 4th
“Bethlehem Christian Families” from the Holy Land will be here on November 4th to sell Olive Wood Carvings to help Christian families.

Family Serve Road Clean-up – October 13th
Join us the morning of Saturday, October 13th at 8:00am to make a noticeable impact on our community as we clean up along the road on Longwood Lake Mary Road. Bring your own work gloves and if you have a trash grabber feel free to bring that too, we have vests, bags, and some trash grabbers available as well. Meet Pastor Chris at Starchild Academy. With a good turnout, we can typically complete the whole road in about 2 hours. For more information, contact Pastor Chris at chrisj@hclm.org.
Calling All Middle Schoolers
Our middle schoolers have an awesome opportunity to participate in the FL/GA District Lutheran Church youth gathering November 2nd-4th at the Lake Yale Baptist Conference Center in Leesburg. The gathering includes fellowship, workshops, worship, and lots of fun with over 500 other middle school students from all over Florida and Georgia. Thanksgiving Baskets
What would Thanksgiving be without CRANBERRIES and STUFFING??? Let’s make sure that that the families receiving Thanksgiving Baskets have plenty of cranberries and stuffing to serve with their dinners this year. Please bring boxes and packages of stuffing mix and cranberries, next weekend, we need 200! If you don’t have time to shop, we will be happy to shop for you. A donation of $50 will provide dinner for one family. Thank you for your support!

Scholastic Book Fair
Scholastic Book Fair is coming to the Holy Cross Lake Mary Campus, November 1st-7th. On Sunday, November 4th, the Book Fair will be open to the congregation for all three services. The books are geared towards preschool aged children. Clifford the Big Red Dog will be stopping by Kids Church Nursery and Preschool classes in the downstairs class rooms. Books can be purchased by check, cash, and credit card. Please stop by and pick up a book to support early learning in reading.

JOY (just older youth) is a social group for 50+ adults. Our next meeting is on October 18th at 6:30pm. We will meet at the Patio Grill in Sanford for dinner. Our attendance is between 15 and 20 and growing. We’d love to have you join us for an evening of Food, Fun, and Fellowship.

BUNCO – October 23rd
Come fellowship and have FUN on Tuesday, October 23rd at 11:30am with brown bag lunch, games start at noon in the Community Center. Prizes awarded for most BUNCO, most wins, most losses, and whatever with bagged white elephant items provided by the players.
