The New Normal

We will journey through Exodus with God‘s people as they move from slavery to freedom. While this transition was ultimately good it also included its own set of challenges. Much like what we are going through now, they had to learn to adapt as they adjusted to The New Normal.

We know it’s hard to feel connected sometimes with everything that is going on. We are working hard here at Holy Cross to keep our church family thriving as much as possible while still being responsible with our decisions about the health of our congregation and the community. Here are some ways to stay plugged in to HCLM:

Prepare for Sunday Services – worship song set lists, scripture readings, and questions for deeper thinking will be posted throughout the week on Facebook and Instagram
Monday Night Bible Study @ 5:30pm on Facebook- A walk through the book of Psalms with Pastor Matt and Pastor Chris 
Praying for You – We have always believed in the power of prayer. If there is something weighing on your mind or want to submit a prayer, let us know through our prayer request form or e-mail prayer@hclm.org.
Online or In Person Services – Sunday at 8:00am for traditional service or 10:00am for contemporary
Holy Cross Lake Mary Podcast – Check out and subscribe to our new podcast on iTunes or Spotify. You can also simply ask Alexa to “play the Holy Cross Lake Mary Podcast”

Tithes & Offerings

We give because we recognize that God has blessed us immensely and so we honor Him by giving back to Him out of our tithes and offerings. You can give online at hclm.org/give or mail to church address at 780 N Sun Drive, Lake Mary, FL 32746.

Sunday Morning Seating Arrangements

We ask that members of households to sit together while remaining socially distant from other households with 2-3 seats between families. Thanks for keeping others safe.

Upcoming Events and Activities

September 22- Youth Group

Middle and High School students join Youth Director Blake from 6PM to 8PM in the Youth Center. Invite your griends!

September 18-  Family Serve 

Road Clean-Up 9AM to 12 PM. 

October 23- Trunk or Treat!

Trunk or Treat will in person this year. We will need trunks and candy. Registration for trunks will go live next week, so start coming up with those ideas! There will be a shopping cart in the narthex for candy donations starting this Sunday 9/19. During the week feel free to bring candy donations to the office. 

November 7th- Oktoberfest (and Pastor Matt’s rescheduled 10 year celebration)

1:00 Pm at HCLM on 11/7. We are in need of hosts to help prepare and serve food. Please email Nicole (nicole@hclm.org) if you’re able to help.

November 14th- Sofa & Suds

Come out and support our HCLM team, 2:00 PM in Downtown Sanford at this fun, family friendly outdoor event.

Announcements & Updates

We want Candy! Now accepting candy donations for trunk or treat. Please leave donations in the cart located in the Narthex on Sunday or bring donations to the office during the week. 

Trunk registration for trunk or treat will go live next week. Be thinking of those trunk ideas!

LWML is in need of Levi jeans or any unwanted denim or denim material for their retreat. Donated items will be repurposed  into other useful items. Please place donatiosn in the PURPLE collection barrel in the narthex before 9/24.

Communion is available in our in person services (1st and 3rd Sunday at 8am and 2nd & 4th Sunday at 10am). For those who are not able to get to a service or are not yet comfortable attending in person services, please contact the office or one of the pastors and we will be happy to make other arrangements.

Kelly Kutcher- Prayers for successful thyroid removal and post surgery healing. 

Carol Evans- In ICU with Covid. Pray for healing and restoration. 

Karen Lorenz- Continued prayers for healing after surgery. 

Naadira Speth-  Pray God’s healing as she continues to battle Covid in the hospital. 

Lorraine Chavez- Pray for healing, salvation, financial blessings and security.

Charaline Luna- As she begins radiation therapy on the 14th. 

Isaiah Hench- God’s healing as he recovers from Covid. 

Brent Brookshire-  Prayers of Healing from Covid. 

Gene Freebern- Restore to health after suffering a heart attack.

General Prayers

We pray today for our nation and our world. We ask that God would be with all of our leaders and elected officials; we pray that He would bring peace to the world, an end to violence and especially watch over Christians that are facing persecution.
