For 30 Years the Sharing Center has been serving the community and Holy Cross has been right along side of her. We are planning a day of service during the month of October (details to follow). Feeding Children Everywhere is packaging an urgent 4.4 million meals to help provide relief to those affected by hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico. The meals will be shipping out immediately to be distributed by FEMA to those in desperate need.

We have an URGENT need for volunteers. This is a family friendly event, all ages are welcomed!

Holy Cross has been partnering with the Sanford Community to restore historic Hopper Academy. Once restored the building will serve as a community center for historic Sanford.

We are putting all the finishing touches on the building so if you are handy with a paintbrush or a broom we can use you. Let us know and we will make a spot for you on the crew.

Holy Cross along with 18 area churches, serves quality meals Wednesday Evenings from 5:30 to 6:30 pm at the Sanford Civic Center in downtown Sanford. Each church takes a turn preparing and serving a variety of hot meals, and local supermarkets donate baked goods and bread which can be taken home. Frequently, men’s, women’s and children’s clothing is available. Sign up for our October 11 service date and we will keep you informed.

With the amount of trash littered on the roadside every day, your involvement is becoming increasingly important. Adopt-A-Road allows citizens to demonstrate community pride, make a positive statement for a clean and attractive community, and have a better understanding of stormwater pollution. Holy Cross has adopted Longwood Lake Mary road, join us for the October road clean up on October 7th

Every Year Holy Cross invites the community to enjoy an evening of festivities. We are in need of volunteers to decorate a trunk and hand out candy, staff our registration area, cook, serve, help kids on the bounce houses and of course it wouldn’t be a church event without a communal clean up.

There are lots of opportunities to serve. We are partnering with Thrivent to start Thrivent Action Teams. Your team can get up to $250.00 in seed money to assist in your service project.
