Committed to Student Ministry

Here’s the thing, we want to be people who are committed to the youth. We like them. They remind us of the best and sometimes the worst of ourselves. Little kids are capable of simple wisdom or sincerity and they can grow into teenagers that inspire us to be better. Besides, we are part of a people that have been committed to youth for thousands of years. Some of our most ancient texts speak about teaching and raising kids, treasuring them as gifts. Our King himself, encouraged us to have the faith like children. It’s with this understanding that we incorporate the youth into the life of our church.

Email korey@hclm.org for the latest schedule or with questions about any of the programs outlined below!

Kids’ Church

We’re so excited to announce that Kid’s Church returns soon! Starting Sunday, September 13th, 2026, Kid’s Church resumes during our 10 a.m. service. Just as before, families will begin the service together; and kids will be dismissed after the first few songs. The children will move with our Children’s Ministry Team to Studio B (Youth Room) where they can be picked up at the end of the worship service. We can’t wait to see you there! If you have questions, see our Youth and Family Ministries Director, Korey Danley, or email him at Korey@hclm.org.

Family-Style Sunday School

After our summer break, Family-Style Sunday School is making its comeback! Following a great first year, we’re excited to gather all generations from across both worship services to learn and grow together. Don’t let the name fool you. This isn’t just for families with kids. As a Church, we are called and commissioned to be a family ourselves: learning, sharing, and passing down the faith for generations to come. Whether you are single, a grandparent, a young adult, or raising a family of your own, your voice and presence are a crucial part of this multi-generational opportunity.

Join us on Sunday, September 13th, as we launch the new season with a kickoff breakfast! It’s the perfect chance to reconnect after summer, catch up with friends, and jump back into learning together. We are especially thrilled to introduce our brand-new study called Epic, and we cannot wait to share this powerful curriculum with all of our participants.

If you’re new to Sunday School at HCLM, we challenge you to change up your Sunday routine just a little: stick around for breakfast and class after you worship at 8:00 a.m., or come join us early at 9:00 a.m. before you worship at 10:00 a.m. If you have any questions, please send an email to Tiffany@hclm.org. We can’t wait to see our Church family back together in the Community Center on September 13th!

Middle School Student Ministry

Wednesday nights are for middle schoolers! Come find community and grow in your faith with our youth ministry. We’ll be in Studio B from 6:30-8:00 PM for food, games, and fellowship, and we’ll be studying God’s Word together. It’s a great opportunity to connect and have fun.

Student Confirmation

The Central Florida Cross Network (CFLCN) is excited to introduce our new Confirmation Ministry! Families from The Cross Orlando, Holy Cross Lake Mary, Resurrection, and Holy Cross Academy are invited to attend a Parent & Student Information Meeting on September 13th at 6:00 p.m. at Holy Cross Lake Mary.

Our confirmation program is a two-year, module-based program designed to help students grow in their Christian identity. Students may begin at any point between 6th and 9th grade, making it flexible for families.

Lutheran Confirmation is a time of intentional instruction and spiritual formation in God’s Word and Luther’s Small Catechism, preparing Christians to publicly confess their faith and live in their baptismal identity. If a student would like to participate but has not been baptized, please contact Korey Danley for baptism information.

If you have a student in 6th–9th grade, we encourage you to come and learn more about this new ministry! Attending the information meeting does not commit your family to participating in the program. It is simply an opportunity to learn more, ask questions, and see if your student is ready to take this next step in their faith journey.

Questions? Please contact DCE Korey Danley, CFLCN Youth & Family Ministry Director, at korey@hclm.org.

High School Student Ministry

Come hang out with other high schoolers for our weekly Bible study. We’ll be at Holy Cross Lake Mary in Studio B on Sundays at 5:00 p.m. with Josh. Let’s challenge each other to love God fully and figure out what that looks like in our lives.
